Kenya
Having acquired existing offices and a need to expand it further, we needed to design and build a space that was sensitive to the current offices as well as reflect their new brand and growth.
French oil marketer, Rubis Energie, entered into the Kenyan market as the leading fuel retailer. With a strong presence and expanding network, a new office wing was required to accommodate their growth.
Taking advantage of the 5 metre high ceilings, the office design kept the electrical and mechanical services exposed. Using hard materials and strong architectural forms to frame spaces and define areas. Fluted glass, black steel sections softened with natural indoor plants make a very conducive work environment.
The floating reception desk at the entrance was to bring intrigue and curiosity to visitors to the office.
The industrial, raw and imposing impression of the office is unapologetic; much like the storm Rubis is taking Kenya by.
